New Jigs
« on: February 27, 2009, 06:14:02 PM »
We just got some new bucktail jigs in from Williamson this week.  They look pretty nice! t^

One is the Banjo Eye jig.  It is available in weights up to 4 oz.

We also got in some Hot Lips (a.k.a. Smiling Bill, Laughing Bucktail) jigs in weights up to 2 oz. (I think).

Both seem like high quality baits. They have what looks like a durable finish, high quality, strong hooks and are tied nicely as well.  Each bait comes with a trailer.  The Banjo Eyes come with a curl tail and the Hot Lips come with an eel tail.

Have any of you had an opportunity to use these at all?

Haven't used that brand, but I have used both styles.  The extra plastics added make them look very appealing!

I saw this weeks Noreast Angler and I'm pretty sure  one of the guys was using the hot lips model, they caught some nice fluke.

Years back, I use to troll the Hot Lips with a piece of pork rind in the Fall: mostly White or Yellow with a stinger hook 5/0 -6/0. They worked.Glad to see em back in production.
