Winter Flounder 3/31
« on: April 01, 2009, 06:41:29 PM »
Made the inaugural run and fished with Schultz and T-bone on Schultz's V20.  Had plenty of bait: chum logs, mussels, sandworms and some clam.  Targeting the blackbacks in the upper bay.  Set-up in three different locations taking advantage of the shallow water with temps 46 and highest of 48 (the rain isn't helping much).  Weather was perfect and water flat.  For the day....

Schultz - 1 ray and a Coast Guard inspection
Pilot - 1 keeper flounder (took worm on one pole then clam on the other - hooked on both) A first.
T-bone - A day off from work chrz

Pilot! It's great to see your posts again.  Last year was a classic and I'm sure this year will be even better.  Great start to the season.
