U.S Reels ?
« on: April 06, 2009, 12:18:07 PM »
I'm looking to get a new outfit for trout fishing. I've pretty much decided on a 6' St Croix Triumph for the rod.

I was looking at the U.S Reels SX 180. They have an extra large spool that's supposed to make for longer casts and eliminate twist...

Anybody know anything about these reels?

B&B,

Too bad you didn't mention it sooner.  You could have gotten one of the discounted rods St. Croix donated to the site.  In any case, for a limited time, if you buy your St. Croix at Dick's they'll throw in a free hoody. t^

OK, I'm pretty sure the promotion is still running.  I'll check for sure and get back to you.

I have a 180SX US reel. This reel casts further than my long nose reels! Plus its light weight and fewer tangles. I love it for Bass fishing and panfishing. Buy one.
