Echo Lake
« on: April 13, 2009, 08:20:52 PM »
Saw the NJDFG&W stocking truck at Echo Lake today and, after all the local talk of the "Trophy" trout that were stocked there, and seeing some that were taken over the weekend in person (caught by friends, not me), I figured I'd check it out. <'((((><
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><

Sweet.  I think my Elks lodge is having a kids fishing derby in the early May at Echo Lake.

Last year I was fishing the Rahway river in Cranford during the week and I was the only angler on the river when "the truck" pulled up and threw two net fulls of trout in the pool I was fishing in.......catch and release for an hour  TT^ TT^

I was bass fishing up at Waywayanda a long time ago when the same thing happened.  It was the day before trout season opened.  It was one after another after another, until a C.O. yelled at me to stop! ;D

I lost count at 16 net fulls. I was told there is an adverage of 30 fish per net. This was their last stop of the day , and had to empty the truck. :'(  TT^  <'((((><
