Tastee day - Striper, blues 5/6
« on: May 06, 2009, 04:05:26 PM »
Launched on Donnie's boat out of keyport with a couple dozen fresh clam and some salty ones.  Headed to the harbor to snag a dozen bunker. Dropped the hook around 9:00.  Fleet in the bay is still setting up and bending rods.  Bluefish have made their presence known.  We had a 4:1 ratio with the demons preferring the chunk.  3 bass were taken on clam.  Two made it to the rail but spit before hitting gelcoat.  The lone boxer was 33".  Bite stopped cold around 11:00 while we still had moving water.  Held out till 1:00 and called it a day.  Excellent time!  Thanks Don and Big Don.  chrz

Pilot, You gave it a good shot. Too bad you dropped a few at the boat.  I hate when that happens. >:(  Maybe we can get out on Monday.

Yup!  I had the shakey hand until Big D settled things down with the magic elixir.  It's good to be the guest every now and again.  Let's keep Monday on the docket barring weather.
