Capt.Ron/Fishermen/Saturdays Foggy Bassin!!
« on: May 16, 2009, 04:31:04 PM »
Pea soup fog all day, absolutely amazed at the small boats with no radar. Saw one that actually was an 18ft rowboat with 2 kids and NO LIFE JACKETS!!! Guy should be put in jail.....Made our way to the fleet and a parking spot, last of the outgoing, NG. After the long wait for the tide yesterday, decided to get the hell outta there...Took a ride down the beach, found some life and picked away the rest of the day. Couple guys ended the day with 4 nice fish, some 2 or 3 and a bunch with none.
Current did run hard after the change, but we had fish up to the bow....Naturally when we got to the dock, it was perfect, the Sun was out, it was warm and my eyes were bugging outta my head!!! Capt.Ron

Nice Job Capt Ron, It was very Foggy and we worked our way through it,but a slow day and a slow pick for us.
Even saw a boat tied to a bouy;they were ok,just fishing. Amazing !

Nice report and pics.

Too many nuts out in the fog without radar. And some of them do not even slow down.  nts

Great job, Capt!

I was down at the waterfront in Perth Amboy today along the Raritan and was amazed how many small boats were out cruising the water in almost 0 visibility...it was crazy and they were crazy nts nts!
