Mem day Bassin
« on: May 25, 2009, 08:53:02 PM »
Took My son nick 10, My friend Kev and his kid Adam also 10 out to do some bunker snaggin out of manasquan.  We broke the inlet @ 6:30 only to see At least a hundred boats up on the beach.  The usual holiday weekend mad rush coupled with a couple of good striper reports brought everyone out of the woodwork.  We went about our business anyway within a half hour we had one 17 pounder in the boat and lost another that threw the hook!@#$$%&^(**  We snagged a couple more and had another run off only to not get that one either. After a few close calls with boats ripping by to close.   We Decided to run a bit north. Bunker were everywhere with no bass on them,  the story for the rest of the day. Tyred a bit of flukin, no go.  On the way to the slip the kids had some blue fish fun to save the end of the day they did great.
