Tuckerton report 5/23
« on: May 23, 2009, 03:48:42 PM »
Got on the water at about 7:00 with my brother in law Dave. It was a bit foggy getting out to the inlet so we stopped behind Holgate to drift for Fluke until the fog lifted....nothing.

Visibility improved fast so we headed out. Cleared the inlet and trolled a bunker spoon and a Stretch plug NE for about an hour keeping an eye out for bunker. Read a few small pods but no knockdowns. The wind was starting to pick up so  turned SW and trolled back to the inlet for another hour...still nothing.

Drifted sandeels, spearing and squid behind Holgate in 15' to 20'...no hits. Moved to a spot in the middle of the bay behind Beach Haven still nothing...headed in with a big fat skunk in the boat....again.

Ya can't expect too much with the water temp down as low as it is. Hopefully it will warm up soon.

Great effort.  t^
