Flukin in Da Fog
« on: May 24, 2009, 03:44:10 PM »
No charter today so set out with Matt for a little Fluking. Got a late state and in was lines off at 0845.

Foggy inshore until we broke into the bay then pretty good visability.

Water was like glass, fished the outgoing.

Hit my usual skinny water spots, first drop and Matt landed a nice 21" fish......though to myself we are going to smoke em, yeah right.

All in all fished four differant areas, a bite here and there.

Days total:

Matt 2 keepers 21 and 22", about 10 throw backs in the 17 1/2" range and a record book Spider Crab.

Capt Bob 2 keepers 18 1/4 and 19 1/2" 8 throw backs from 17 1/2 to 17 9/10 and a bucket of birds.

Hot bait was the jumbo smelts from the Chinese Grocery TT^

Back at it tomorrow
