Reel Class 5/25 Pre-Breakfast Bass
« on: May 25, 2009, 08:29:45 PM »
Only had a few hours to play with today so we went out on the 6-9 shift. Broke the inlet, boats everywhere. Got bait pretty quickly, then started fishing them live w/o weight a little further up. I had a nice runoff and blew it, fish came back scaled

Ran up and off a little bit, got away from the fleet then got a call from Capt Jerry Monger that there was a little life further up - so we shot there. Got the bunkers in, had some good readings, and proceeded to have a slowish pick of bites and bass. Wound up with a bunch more runoffs, a few on, a few off... Anthony wound up besting his personal best of yesterday with a fish a shade under 30# on the scale.

The fish were biting real weird today, they were slamming the bunker, then dropping it, only to hammer it again then run and drop...

OK morning, wish we had more fish - yesterday really spoiled us   I know a few of my buddy's did decent before we got there and after we got there, so the bite was fair today, but again nothing like yesterday. Seems like the same patch of 20-40# fish we've had around the last few days.
