bottom fishing spots

Don't know the size of your boat or fuel capacity but if you can make it to the Sandy Hook reef find any big rock pile on your depth finder and you should produce.

I don't personally know any spots in the Raritan for sea bass, others might.

Boat is plenty big enough and fuel capacity is more than enough.

I don't have a boat, but I fish a charter boat every wednesday out of Viking Marina in Morgan Creek.  Not going to find many sea bass in the bay...but lots of short fluke.  Gotta head out to Sandy Hook Reef or Scotland (if you can make it) to get a shot at sea bass.

Nuttin in the Bay??   There are plenty of #'s to fish that are loaded with porgies and seabass by mid summer.  You just need to do some searching and find the rockpiles and snags out.

As far as SHR, go to this NJ State link:

It lists all the states artifical reefs and the DGPS coordinates for the corners of each reef. This is a good starting point to get you to the reef and then start exploring some rockpiles on your own.
 From Morgan to the reef, your looking at close to a 20 mile ride one way.
