Pop's Soul Weekend report
« on: June 28, 2009, 07:29:46 PM »
Saturday I had Coyote Cal and Big Dave aboard. We spent the day of the Red Church sticking to our plan fluking for the first part of the day. With the water temps ranging from 68 to 70 degrees and the winds varying from the NW to out of the North we had a steady pick of Sea Bass with a Fluke thrown in here and there and finished our day trying to buy a striper in the fleet North of Ausbury, Special Thanks To Vinnie on the South Paw for the call on the Stripers. We finished up saturday with 2 keeper Seabass and 2 keeper Fluke. Sunday was the wife and I Fluking tried some deeper water and was picking up shorts until the bottom current got to strong so we moved in off of Long Branch for a nice steady pick of fluke and not a keeper in the bunch. All and all 2 great days on the water t^ Good Seeing you out there South Paw both days. slt
