Due to the forcasted wind and sea condition I did not feel the ocean was an option the last 2 days.So rather than waste some nice weather I went crabbing around Seaside. Tom and his son Ryan were scheduled for an inshore wreck trip but were more than willing to give the crabbing a try.The crabs have been crawling real nice up this way and the size has been great. What a blast watching a 10 year old when he gets a #1 in his trap. Hooting and hollering and dancing around. Just a plain old good time. We called it a day at noon with 70 nice crabs and even picked a few dubs(shedders). The 5 to 7 feet of water on grass bottom close to Seaside has been hit or miss. Some day its great others its a desert. The poles by Good Luck Point have been pretty consitant on the mud bottom. 10 to 1 on the jimmies with just a hand full of sooks and real nice size. Good luck all
