Reports for the past week could be summed up in one word "CRAP"!!
We have fished all channels, humps and bumps, the beach, all parts of the bay, battled wind against the tide, a new moon that brought tides so high it tore off my rub rail!! Too much and not enough current, to come up with a handfull of keepers and some shorts each day.
Can't remember in 32 years having to work so hard for so little, yet we have been allocated more poundage for next season. Does this mean the size is going to go down? Will our season be extended past Labor day? Hell, they could give us 5 million pounds what good is it if things stay status quo?
Someone posted Truth in reporting, it doesn't get any more truthfull than this.
25 to 30 keepers is a great day today, how about the 100 fish that go back that are 16 to 17 3/4 inches, if they were in the cooler, THAT would be a true Banner day!!!
I would never take away hope, and I hope each day we sail that I can post great catches with happy customers in pics with thier catch. We give it 110 percent everyday, regardless of what comes our way.......Just another rant from Capt. Ron Thanks for reading!!!
