Some Japanese company, I think.  You can find a ton of outrageously priced things like those in some of the specialty jigging shops online.  $600 rods, $1000 reels, $100 line, etc.

I guess there are a few folks out there with a little bit more money than me. ;)

I was looking at the Zeebass reels. I think they are only around $1100. But they do come with a fancy wood case!

THese are designed for big game fishermen. Tuna. Surf fishermen need not apply. This includes me. Jigging/popping for tuna is interesting and appealing. Check out Jigging Master PE reels. capable of 25-50 # drag pressure and starting at 17 oz reel weight.Carbon fibre rods that are unbreakable and super light and can hold 20# dead weights( like a cinder block ). Braided line as thin as Power Pro 30# but breaking at 78 #.This stuff is changing everything in fishing tackle. Expensive yes but theoretically one outfit for everthing from fluke to bluefins to 200 #. So who wants to buy my old stuff ????  ;D
