Got a late start today. Dropped off the Tastee cooler that housed the doormat from last friday and pushed off from Gateway at 12:30 with Peanuts, killies and squid in tow. Had two nice drifts throught the TC and reach channels with a couple of touches on the nutz with one short. Saw AJ working the same area. Swung by to say hey and dropped off a special delivery . Good to finally meet you AJ! Headed out to the Ambrose to see if there was better interest in the offering. Had one keeper. Very narrow fish that at first I didn't think was going to make it, but it just edged the 18". Pnutz were not working their magic as I'd expected. Switched over to dragging squid strips topped with tandem killies.
Seemed to do the trick. Had 8 fish in the next hour. None to keep. Called it quits by 3:30 and headed back to the barn.
