Irish Ayes Monday fluking 8-17-09
« on: August 17, 2009, 09:00:33 PM »
Had the usual Monday crew out today. Turned north out of the inlet with the first stop off at Bradley Beach. Brought in only skates so we left.

Went to squidhead and again skates. No drift at either spot...another move...off to the rocks.

Got to the rocks and had somewhat of a drift. Started out at .3 MPH and got progressively better. Made several drifts in the area and had some nice keepers come aboard. Had a lot of shorts to pick thru also.

After the bite slowed down we made another move into shallower water and picked a few more keepers.

Started the trip back to Shark River making another stop at squidhead where we put two more fish in the box.

Total for the day was twelve keeper fluke with two being over five pounds and one nice seabass.

More fishing to come. Gotta get it in while we can.  t^
