Wish They were all Monger days But today was Not!
Headed Out On an Open Boat Bonz,Albies, spanish macks ect...
Stopped on manasquan ridge... No life
Steered To the east as a couple of guys i know had some decent catches Out that way with the exotics while bluefishing...
Put the lines in the water and we had 2 skipjacks grab the lure... But nutin else... Headed around the reef... No Bites.... Out to Monster ledge No Bites...
Headed in to around the oil and stopped on pots on the way No mahi and no bites!
Tried Chumming spearing sandeels light Chum... Nutin...
Parked Over a piece of bottom and tried chumming again no takers...
So we dropped some clam to the bottom and picked at some ling .couple seabass for some action and meat in da cooler... Good life for the short time we bottomfished
On the way in stopped inshore and we actually caught 4 bonito to save us from the doughnut...
So we wound up with 4 Bonito, a skippy and 30 ling for the dinner table...
Covered alot of ground...but wasnt our day... But we had a great crew of guys and made the best of it...
Fluking tomorrow... then i guess we should go surfing on the weekend
