Boat Expo and Fishing Seminars + Town Hall Meeting on Licensing
« on: September 16, 2009, 10:30:09 AM »
I know that this has been posted before but here is what is going on during the Expo.  Check out the poster.  A lot of good information going on here and all for $2.00.  Not a bad deal.

That's funny - while I was on the phone and posting that release into a new thread, I missed your post!

See you guys there on Saturday - if you can't make it but have questions for the panel, email me at jhutchinson @ joinra.org

Hi Hutch,

Yeah I was over at Grumpys yesterday and he was pretty upset that the word is not getting around and that a few people have heard of the town meeting and not the Expo.

I will be a sad day when and if this licensing thing goes through.  Just another tax that will be put into the coffers and never spent on the issues at hand dealing with fishing.

You're right WB, the 'F' key on my keyboard has been sticking of late - it think it's because I've been using that key a lot lately when choosing nouns, verbs & adjectives to explain our current fisheries situation in NJ!

Hope to see folks out in Lakewood this weekend!

Sorry for not posting earlier.

There were a lot of boats and the prices seemed to be right in the ball park and a lot of people looking and asking questions.  Unfortunately, the times and location for the seminars were not to well planned out, in my opinion, so sad to say I did not make any of the timed events.

If the crowed that was there were thinking about the Town Hall meeting it sure did not look like it.  Like I said before it seemed like it was an after thought.

I would of had people handing out fliers letting people know of the times of all the seminars.  All there was, was a basket with the events schedule which I notices on my way out.  What is up with that.  In my opinion it was not the fault of the spectators but that of the event managers if people did not show up at the events.

Even better as you paid to get in the lot you should of been given a time schedule.

If the event was a dud it was the fault of poor planning not the public.

That's too bad Paul.  Those seminars looked pretty interesting.  Oh well. 5hrug
