9-20-09 IBSP
« on: September 20, 2009, 12:40:15 PM »
Got into the park around 8am.  A perfect day to spend on the beach.  Sun was shining, and clouds were scarce.  Fished the area near the Judge's Shack.  Beach was loaded with fisherpeople, but didn't see anything pulled up in the 3 hours we spent there, except a skate by someone else.  Tried clams and mullet rigs and got nothing.  Not even a bite, unless you consider the crabs that ate our clams all morning.  I was really hoping to score some blues, with the reports all week talking of great action on mullet.  They must have left, when they heard I was coming.   5hrug

Good try Jason. Just showing up is always better than sitting at home.  t^

Good try...I thought you might get into some of the blues too when I read you were going out.

Don't feel bad, the fish always leave when I go fishing too ;D.

Good try.  You might want to think about throwing some artificials this time of year as well.  Top water for the blues and AVA's for the bottom dwellers.  A teaser this time of year is also helpful as well.

My weekend has been ridiculous so I am planning on going out Monday morning before sunrise and try to catch the magic hour.

Happy Catching

Good try Jason.  After reading the reports from the past couple days, I thought for sure you'd bring home some blues.
I'm gonna try to get out there for first light tomorrow provided I can drag my post-vacation butt out of bed.

Thanks guys.  It's looking like these blues are hitting around first light or so.  I'm gonna give it another go tomorrow after work if everything goes well.  Good luck to those of you going out as well!  t^

Hey Chris, I will be trying to get out there tomorrow as well.  Got to stop by Grumpys and pick up bait.  They open at 5 and I am trying to get there by 5:30 or so.  Sunrise is at 6:43 so  that should give me enough time to slink my butt over there.

I plan on getting on at A7 and work my way south till I run out of bait or time.

Happy Catching
