Had Bruce and Brenndon back for their charter with friends Pat Andy John and Tim...
IT CONTINUES... Another great day of bottomfishing with limit catches by Lunch Time... All the seabass we caught today were inside 3 miles/state waters!!!
Plan was to mix it up a bit Seabass porgs blacks Blues...
Started off drifting local bottom and had some nice seabass flying over the rail along with tons of shorts and a couple porgs.
Moved a little Bit and drifted over a couple TINY pieces but they were FILLED with Nice seabass...Bunch of double header keepers and a much better keeper to short ratio...
They added up quick... and By 12 the guys boxed up the 6 man limit of 150 nice size seabass... we never had to even drop our anchor!
Decided to go for some blackfish now... made a run inshore and broke out the crabs ... conditions stunk but the tog were hungry! Everyone Got their 1 blackfish in no time... Congrats to brenndon schooling his elders landing the biggest tog...Could have probably stayed and caught em all day but after thier limit we went looking for blues...
We chummed for blues on da rocks but they didnt cooperate... So we managed a few porgies and released a few nice size fluke...
Caught a few Weakies on the ride in but the seem all scattered from the way the were in the am....
So by days end the guys wound up with 150 keeper seabass, 6 Nice Blackfish, 20 porgies, 3 keeper weakfish, Couple of small blues, and released a few nice fluke!!!
Good Times with great People, another nice day on day water! thanks fellas!!!
We will cont to fish for seabass as we have Limited out on our last 6 or 7 trips all within 3 miles/ state waters... Dont miss out wont be long and they will move to deeper water, past 3 mile and we wont be able to fish for them
As promised we will also be running our special Blackfish trips in Oct (c&r after 1 fish p/p - seabass porgies for dinner bycatch) now that they are starting to growl a bit!
Give a buzz lets go fishin!!!
Thanks
