IBSP Fishing Report 10-1-09
« on: October 01, 2009, 09:08:13 PM »
Took a trip out to Lake Atlantic today.  At least that that's how the surf looked today.  Smooth as glass and crystal clear.  Wind out of the west and tide incoming.
Bait was mullet and clams.  Also threw metals and poppers.
At least we didn't get skunked.  Got 2 doggies, 1 ray, 1 snapper and 1 Chevy Tahoe.  Snapper was on mullet, ray and doggies on clam strips.  Nothing on the metals, teasers or plugs.
Wasn't a banner fishing day, but it sure was a gorgeous day out there.

I guess you could say the Taheo was "Foul hooked" and "safely released".  A fellow fisherman drove between my truck and the water and grabbed my line with his rods. Not a good practice, but no harm done.

I'll be back out there tomorrow before sun up.

I like the lights on the back of the rod rack.  I've never seen a setup like that before.

That's custom, can't buy that anywhere.  Harbor Freight cargo rack with some 2in pvc conduit.    They are actually reflectors, I guess the flash went off on the camera.  ::)

Man I have to get out there.  I have been the studio all this week working on a new painting and it is killing me not to get out there... :P

I hate when they drive between the veh and the water that is why I usually pot out a sand spike as a decoy.
