Heading out to the hook 6-25
« on: June 25, 2007, 03:07:16 PM »
I will be walking out to the hook tom. morning (weather depending).  Anyone else heading out?  If so I will be glad to meet up and enjoy some surf fishing with a fellow member.
There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot

Walked out today to find the tip closed off for nesting birds.  I guess the chicks hatched to one of the endangered nesting birds (says the Park Ranger).  Only fished for a couple hours it was hot.  Picked up 5 shorts and plenty of robins.  All the boats off the tip were anchored except one 16 footer who was drifting by with constant action.  I saw the net being used, so I assume that they were netting keeper fluke.

You werent able to fish the tip? Ive never encountered such a problem like that. Where did you end up fishing at the hook? North Beach ?  ???

Fish On
Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.
