Irish, I was being sarcastic an serious at the same time.  Very good point you brought up about the run-off from Golf courses.  The run off from  farms certainly damaged Oyster and crab fisheries in the Chessy so, it would make sense that golf course run off would have the same effect elsewhere.Such as Stream, River, Bay and Ocean fisheries.
Forgive your enemy but, remember the bastard's name.

I knew fishing it was a tough business to begin with... but soon we wont be able to even give an attempt at it?

This keeps up we will have nothing to fish for and zone closures ehhhh

Blood pressure going through the roof

Dont sweat it my Capitan..... I will be making up the Pickle Monger signs in the garage this weekend.... so start looking for open flea market tables.....

Looks like Captain Wayne is all ready to go.... pmmfp

The American Sportfishing Association is a trade group made up of fishing tackle manufacturers.  Their main purpose is to lobby on behalf of those manufacturers to ensure their products can be sold.  Much of that includes fighting restrictions on anglers (since that's who buys their products).  They obviously have a huge stake in all of this.

Although you may not hear a lot about them, you can rest assured that they are, and have been fighting fights like this for many years.

sit tight fellas (and gals)  things are underway and bucktail is right on.  the ASA and RFA and believe it or not the CCA is actively on this.  the industry is fighting this but not just in public view.  more to come.....

That is great news Bucktail Bob and Capt Chris. It is nice to know that they are in the skirmish also. I think they should go public with it.

If people realized how this affects more than just the fisherman it would be a more important issue to them.

Let the people know that it affects the motels/hotels where people go for fishing vacations. Let them know it affects the mom and pop stores who provide the lunches and breakfasts to the fishermen. Let them know it affects the clothing stores, bait and tackle stores, etc.

This is not just a fisherman nightmare. It affect many more than that.
