fished the beach in the morning. Light W wind and water temp was 61 degrees and murky. Lettuce was so bad that even top water lures were getting fouled. I had to drive around looking for areas clear of weeds. The pocket was the only area that stayed clear. Caught 1 short bass on a mag darter. After watching 3 guys on the jetty catch 4 keeper tog in about 15 minutes I caught a crab in the rocks and had dinner in 5 minutes. The people fishing for king fish were doing real well. I watched them pull in one after the other. Mullet are still in the surf as is spearing.
