Inlet 7/29
« on: July 29, 2007, 10:58:08 PM »
Fished the Inlet today at Pt. Pleasant on my first cast with spearing/squid strip caught a 16.5 inch fluke.  Took about 20 more casts, got snagged. Tightened my drag and walked backward, didnt snap! So i tried cranking for absolutley no reason and the handle snapped right off my Penn Reel. Unbelievable. 5 Minutes later, thunderstorms came rolling in, started pouring, thunder-lightning. It was nasty. Now i just have to go out and buy a new reel/arm or whatever you want to call it for my reel.  >:(

First your pole last week now your reel you better be careful out there Mark.  A good tackle shop should be able to have you up and running in no time.

Happy Catching
