« on: November 16, 2009, 03:26:59 PM »
headed out of Keyport Marina ,I noticed  HUNTER 11 was out of his slip ,moved to another slip ,i guess things are wraping up over there. A north west blowing pretty good,so Don JR ,JIM BEAM,and I headed over towards S.I. NO birds ,we decided to troll till we see birds  5hrug no birds in sight. trolled the REACH to BOUY 19,still no bird life ,wind layed down ,stayed on the troll for awhile, not even a blue, read fish on the machine ,but they had LOCKJAW.Water temp still around 53. Headed towards CLAMERS working the bay, finnaly started catching some Stripes, all the fish were around 18 inches  5hrug what happened to the keepers? still no bird life,no BLUES,no bait,I dont know whats happining, maybe the NOR EASTER. The water crystal clear.Still a great day on the bay.

The water is still churned up.  I don't mean the sand and stuff but the temperature.  The thermoclines are all trashed and screwed up.  I guess it would be like walking through your house and every room had a different temperature, not a comforting thought.

It will take some time to settle down and get back to normal.

Good try Don,  I got the skunk yesterday and I think its time for me to pull the boat. Im worried about the inboard freezing up in cold weather. Good luck on the next few trips t^
