Prop help

[Reckless]

 Want to replace old prop before spring. Only numbers I can find on it are R7627. My as well be Chinese to me. Anyone know what theses numbers mean? Any advantage 4 blade over 3 blade?

What type of prop?  If you know call the company or local prop shop and they should be able to tell you.

Or take the prop to a prop shop and they can put it on the block and find out.

Talk to a good prop man. Tell him the size of your boat,hull shape,and weight and motor info. He should be able to determine what your Diameter and Pitch range is for your consideration.There are good prop guys around.
Some props are better on top end and some are better out of the hole.Depends on what your looking to do.

Check out this link, even if you do not purchase a prop here, you will learn alot about propellers, and thus,be able to smell the BS on some of the local salesmen's breath.
