Belmar Surf Fishing
« on: December 02, 2009, 04:38:21 PM »
Folks,

Will travel to Belmar this coming weekend to surf fish for the first time. Will be coming from PA and looks like Belmar is a straight shot over 195.  Someone suggested that i go to MAC's bait and tackle in Neptune for Bunker.  Does anyone have any suggestions where in this area I can Surf fish from for Stripers

many thanks

pat

Sometimes Mac's opens late.  If so go back over the bridge to Fisherman's Den (Where the party boats are.  He opens at 5 AM and usually has fresh clams as well.

There is also Scott's B&T on Main Street in Bradley Beach. He caters more to the surf guys than the other shops.

Scott's is just north of Belmar.
