We Decided to pass on sun... Glad we did... Thought it would be tough to tog in that especially for a full day.
So Back at it today... Gene the Bagel Boy, Blackfish Bill da puller, Randy, Jose, Pat Sr. and Pat Jr.
Headed out to a little S swell but it layed down nicely and turned out to be a gorgeous day...
Got set up on our first drop and had no life... water was filthy.
Headed of a little deeper and signs of life started to show up ... Few shorts and then Bill Starts us off with a Nice 8 1/2 lber... Slowly Started picking nice size keepers along with shorts... Scratchy bite but we stuck with and picked away... Had little flurries were the would come on... nice size keepers... then shorts... then wait etc... Also broke and lost more than our fair share from here.
Boxed up around 30 nice keepers and moved on... Next drop was no good.
Headed to out last stop and the fish were hungry... prob or best chew of the day... actually hit the crabs hard... Picked at em here until we had our boat limit.
Scratchy type bite for most the day... fish were there just had to work to get em... Lots of foot stomping and swearing
Congrats to Bill... def was the puller today size wise and a limit... Gene was the quantity man with a Limit... Pat Sr started it off early While Jr was da closer dead heat... Randy worked hard to box a few including a nice one. Jose worked hard to box a few nice ones and break the toy tog steak late!
Grinded it out and By days end we boated around 50 Keepers with everyone taking home a legal limit... Again today most fish were nice size roasters in the 3-8lb range!
