Togging with Capt Mike & friends
« on: December 16, 2009, 10:40:17 AM »
Had the pleasure of jumping on Capt Mike's Parker for a tog outing yesterday, Tuesday the 15th. Joining us was Bob G and Dennis.

We headed south and fished a wreck off of Atlantic City in 70 feet of water.

It was a fairly consistant bite all day with a lot of shorts. We all finished the day with four keepers each with me (hehe) getting the largest at a guestimated 7-8 pounds.

Another fine day of fishing with great people. Thanks Mike for letting me jump aboard and thanks Capt Rich from --------- for a fresh supply of lively greenies.  t^

Thanks Capt. Joe! I had a great time with great company, can't wait to get out there again. We might need a handful more of crabs next time though. LOL...
I tried a chunk of bergall but no takes just bumps and slaps. I have some gulp and artificial crab bait that I want to try as a backup. See what happens, can’t hurt in a pinch.

That was the second fishing trip all season on my boat, just been busy all season either working on other boats or fishing up in Shark River with Joe. Will stay in for I hope a few more Tog trips then get pulled for maintenance.

Let me know when you want to get the growth off the bottom again. I'm always game.  TT^

BTW, I took home two filets of tog yesterday and cooked them up using the recipe you posted last week Mike. Next time I am taking more tog home.  ;D They were great.
