...when i say not too far i am thinking within 30-40 (25-40 miles) minutes or so of union county. ...is the Manasquan Inlet in Mommouth County known to be pretty active location?
grtn K, understand.  A quick answer is yes, the incoming and outgoing tide has proven to be a very active location.  When you visit there talk with the men who are fishing.  They call themselves the "Over The Rail" gang.  Please keep coming back here and read the fishing reports so you will be able to figure out for yourself what is running and when.  Easy.  Hope this helps.  Questions?  Ask lots of questions.  Good Luck and Good Catching!   t^
