you can catch everything there so all you have to do is use the same tactics you would use for each species.  I like braid, but you will get caught up in the rocks, so you want to put a mono leader.
Fish out of Toms River NJ.
Call Nick for open boat, 973-417-5756, or on Channel 68.

stripers, sea bass, fluke, bluefish, blackfish and ling, even mahi have been taken there at times. You name it,u can catch it there at times. you can drift it but as mentioned before....bring lots of sinkers, leader, hooks, swivels etc. sometimes you need a drift sock,as it moves very fast there in the middle of the tides. if you are anchoring, bring a wreck anchor and a back up as well as an anchor float just in case.

On the northern side either Atl Highlands or Leonardo......the southern boys will have to chime in for those locations. TT

Shark River Inlet would be about the same, maybe a tad shorter, to the Rocks from the Atlantic Highlands.

Put in at Bry's ramp on the north channel or the municipal ramp near the Fisherman's Den. Either way it is a one mile shot to the ocean and then about ten miles to the Rocks.
