Quick shot at the Raritan....

Havent read any reports so figured I'd give it a quick shot today.

Zip, zilch , nada. Didnt pay any attention to tides, just grabbed some salted left over clams and headed out. Hit the wall and was alone for 2 hours. Water was an off color brown which I didnt expect to see with the cool water temps.

Keansburg water temps were at 44 this AM, cant be long now. Either way, felt good to knock some rust off after not fishing for 6 weeks.

FYI - Crabby's B&T in Keyport NOT opening until March 12th. Tried to stop and grab something fresher bait than what I had - no dice.
Took a ride down to AHMH, seems the ramp is being worked on, heavy equipment and pilings blocking the whole ramp.

I know Art.  Last minute thing to get out and took what I had at home. Next shot I'll be walking a little further north and getting a hold of something fresher than 5 month old clams.

Good for you.. Go fishing? get taxes ready, go fishing?take cover off boat, go fishin?,honey do list, go fishing?clean up the mess in yard after the snow storms we had, go fishing.,go to work, go fishing.,paint the bottom,go fishing,visit my friend in the hospital? go fishing...water temp is 42-45 on the flats.
AH HELL!!!! I'm grabbing my rod,bait and going fishing!!!!!!!  clp

Wow I guess it is the going rate but blood worms (if you can find them) are going for $10 to 12 a dozen.  Amazing... nosmly
