Bluefin Tuna Jigging in NC
« on: April 04, 2010, 01:54:12 PM »
Capt. Joe, Capt. Mike, Scott and myself left Friday night for Oregon Inlet. We got there with a hour to spare before the boat left to find out we were socked in by fog.  An hour later we were on our way for a 2 hour ride to the fishing grounds.  We started off trolling it was slow so we made move to the North and found tuna cruising the surface and good marks down deep.  We started jigging and it was game on.  Fish up to 70 inches, we kept one 69 inch fish and released multiple others, double and triple hook ups.  Hot lure was Stingos 200 grams and up colors silver and gold.
