Stripers 4/15
« on: April 15, 2010, 07:29:58 PM »
John and myself out of Sayreville this morning and headed straight for Romers Shoal in pursuit of that hot bite, there anchored and cracking clams by 9,able to catch a few,but not really marking, did manage to get my first keeper a 29 incher, only keeper caught today.did have a hot bite on the giant skates for awhile. nosmly  picked up around noon and made some moves around the candle sticks and Flynns Knoll trolling deep divers and looking for marks came up mt,moved back on the shoal and set up clamming again, stayed here till around 2,then picked up and moved back to the Reach where we were marking heavy Monday but couldn't hookup, was marking some here,so tried trolling the shad rigs and the stretch 25s,again nothing, even tried clamming here for awhile, moved around the area trying, gave up and headed in a little after 4.great day on the water,we'll get em next time.   Kez
