Picked my son up from school, took him, my buddy Rick with his son Rocky and friend John out for some fun in the afternoon. We hit the Manasquan inlet at about 3:45 and turned north. At about 4:15 we were up by Asbury Park. We saw the birds working so we started jigging for bass. We caught a couple of blues and John boated one legal bass.
After a little while (around 6pm) the bunker started to boil. There was a LARGE area of bunker right off of Asbury. We caught 3 more bass, one jigged (John again), one on a top water plug (Rick) and one that my 10 year old caught after live lining a bunker he had snagged. A couple of blues mixed in too.
Were back at the dock by 8:15, a terrific afternoon on the water with great kids and great friends.
