Friday May 7th 1st Striper Skunk of the Season !
« on: May 10, 2010, 07:52:40 AM »

Someone jinxed us & I know this as a fact  ;)

I fish with Lee (aka The Kup).

Lee's wife Birthday was Friday May 7th.

Earlier in the week I asked Lee how his work schedule looked for last Fri afternoon.Lee replied it's my wife's Birthday.Lee calls me Friday am & says Art I got a permission slip to fish.I said to Lee great what time should I meet you at the boat.

This time we were going to leave the clams behind & look for Bunker.

We pushed off at 1 pm. We went west searching the back bay & river's in search for Bunker.Spent alot of time looking for Bait & we finally gave up because we were killing to much time.

We decided to stop looking around for bait and start looking for Marks on the Fish Finder.Since we did not have clams we had no choice but to troll Stretch 25s.We trolled around and all we could muster up was Bluefish.

We even dropped anchor & tried using the 6 soft mussy Bunker that Lee bought along & even the crabs did not want them !

The wind picked up & it was a Striperless kind of day !

Even though the catching was slow we still had Fun !
