Headed back out for another day of striper fishing. Bruce, Brandon ,and Crew along With Matt and his Father (The Birthday boy) rounded out todays fishermen.
Got out the Inlet and read that the water dropped to 42 Degrees on the surface brrr. pretty chilly coldest i seen since the beginning of blackfish season.
It Didnt bother the bass to much...Headed up North and was greeted with Birds and great readings with some fish splashin on top... Within a few Minute we had our first couple on... All Were keepers and we didnt see any Blues.
After that they really came together and we had a couple super cracks at them. With Multiple Fish on and plenty of misses... Didnt take Long and we were Boxed up with a Limit... Released a few More Before the action slowed Up.
Fish then seemed to break up a Bit... Reading became a little more scattered... Fish and Birds would Pop Up and we would Got a Fish Or two or None then look again.
Guys Decided to try a Little bottom fishing inshore back towards Home... But with the cold temps were we had cod last week... Few Drops with No Bites this week... so we called it a day.
Fish Bit on Heavy Crocs, 67s, and the New custom Croc knockoffs which also worked well.
The Guys Did a great job jigging today despite the fast drift and windy conditions... We Jigged up 20 Keeper size Stripers with everyone taking home a Legal Limit and releasing the rest for another day. Biggest Fish was 24lbs couple other around 20lbs.
Thanks Again Guys... Pleasure as always!!!
Will be Back at it all week... Next Open Boat Availability is this fri... Check Open Boat Forum for More Info... Give a Buzz Dont Miss Out!!!
