Fish Monger Stripers 5-16
« on: May 16, 2010, 09:09:08 PM »
Headed out for another day of striper Fishing. Had Paul Lukas and friends along as todays crew.

Started our way back to where we have been fishing... Looked for bunker on the way up and we nor anyone else we talked to found any.

Got up in the area and didnt see the reading we been seeing... Tries feeding out the livies we saved with no takers... Put out the trolling gear but that wasnt much better for us.

Capt Allen called to let us know he had a good bite on jigs down south... Thanks Bro!!!

Tried a Little while more up north and decided to make the run down south.

On the way down the bunker popped up and we stop and made 40 pieces quickly before cont down south.
When we arrived we seen great reading but the good bite seemed to slow up a bit. we had a Run off and boated 1 right away... But after that it was tough.

Would stop... get a runoff... miss one maybe land one... every fish had a bunch of other big bass following it up but not eat. Tried trolling but that only produced one.Lots of short bites and bass playing with the baits/ Following which made it frustrating. Stay a little longer hoping they would pop back up but they didnt for us.

The Guys fished hard and we Wound up with 7 Keepers for the day up to 29lbs. Not the best of days but glad we got a few Nice ones!!!

Great Crew On Board!!!

Thanks again Guys!!!

Nice work Jerry, we found no bait up north at all but had some half decent luck pulling spoons.
