Out with the wife and sons for an afternoon shot with the mission of getting each of them a bass. Had some left over baits and we set off for a relaxing family trip. Tried fishing the deep but the nw wind made Momma a little queasy. Headed further north and started dragging one stretch 25 while watching the sounder and waiting for the tide to start moving. Saw some birds working and eased that way - but we hooked up before we got there. 7 year old Sean was first up and boated a chunky 29" fish. We stopped on the marks and I threw out a livey which got eaten. 8 (almost 9) year old Ryan was hot on the fish and put a nice bass in the boat. With the bait running low and the marks spotty I put the stretch back out and started heading back on my line, the rod went off and Momma was on her fish - mission accomplished. We ran home at 40 knots listening to Disney Radio on the Sirius, a great afternoon on the water. God bless America and God bless our troops
