Had Capt Joe Boycko's Charter Today. Billy, Charlie 1 for 4, Chris wake me up later,Rubber band Pete, and Billy #2 rounded out the rest of the crew.
Slated for a Seabass Trip, But decided to leave early for a shot of Stripers to mix it up.
Headed out to a load of bunker and a million boats right outside, but there was bass on them early. Made bait and feed out some livies and managed to put 4 Stripers to over 30 lbs in the boat... Which Included 3 of Guys personal best!!!
Action slowed so we went to do some inshore Seabassing (yes inside 3 Miles) being we had bass in the boat.
Expected it to be slow... Boy we were wrong!!! Got set up and had insta life with nice seabass flying into the boat... Quite a few double headers!!! slugged away at 65 Keepers from the first piece alone. Next piece had a bunch of cod, Mostly shorts but a few keepers along with some More seabass.
Drifted around a small pile for another great shot at the seabass along with some cod.
Picked away until the guys boxed up a Limit of seabass by 130 pm. What a Great way to start the season right where we left off from last year.
Started to head for home and On the way in the bass blew up in front of us right out front. Boxed up 3 more stripers out 6 Bites!!! What a way to end a awesome day.
By Day end the guys boxed up a 6 man limit of 150 seabass, we also caught a couple dozen cod with 8 Being Keepers and 7 Keeper Stripers to 32lbs!!!
