Jason and I were 2 of 21 fares aboard the Misty Morn. We were each set up in the corners of the stern. With the repowering of the boat, it was a quick steam over to the Knoll. Within 10 minutes, I put the first fish in the boat a respectable 33.5" bass. Another bass was boated shortly after. Another 20 minutes passed without any action when Capt. Jerry received a call of a decent bite on the False Hook Bar.
A short ride over there & we joined a fleet of several other party boats. Had one fish almost immediately but then it was relatively quite. Another bass came up, I had a dogfish and Jason got on the board with a short bass. The outgoing tide was really moving and with the bite not that great we pulled anchor and went back to our original spot. The rest of fleet soon left the False Bar as well.
Once back at our original spot action was a slow pick. I had one more bite that I missed. Jason was able to land his limit here including the eventual pool winner, a nice 35" inch bass.
Only 10 keepers (out of these 10, 3 people had their limit), 1 short & 1 bluefish were put aboard
