COCK ROBIN- SATURDAY
« on: May 22, 2010, 07:29:08 PM »
NOT the opening day we had hoped for, fish-wise....customer-wise the crowd was GREAT and HARD-WORKING!!!

First drift/ first BASS ate a Kroc.....gonna be a GREAT DAY....NOT

Livies the ticket and we were prepared for snagging and livewelling.  Unfortunately boat traffic and tide hurt us as we drifted into the battle zones!!

With numerous first time anglers, the learning curve on drifting live and fresh dead bunker was a bit steep but the sharpies jumped in to help and Captain Jim kept the search on well into overtime and we managed to put some BASS in the boat for all to at least share in the excitement of these BIG BASS inhaling the bunker.

Young Artie Jr and Artie Senior made the trip with DAD besting Junior!!
CloudFlyer was aboard and had a few run-offs, regular Dave had a tough hook to land ratio with runoffs, Night owl Pablo made a daytime appearance and went into extra time to final put put his first 2010 fish on the board, Skip (aka Toad) and Dad put a BASS in the boat that was a long-running pool favorite until the end when it got knocked out by John's legit 40lber and Cock Robin regular Pete put his first 2010 fish on ice.

We are back at it tomorrow with high hopes of better catching!

Saw the Irish Ayes crew put some meat in da boat...thanks for the return call Joe!!

Photo's on FaceBook!
(btw, ALMOST every trip we post immediate pictures and text updates (good and bad).  so friend us and keep up with the days activities!!

Good to hear from you today Bill. Nice to see the Cock Robin finally hitting the water and fishing hard.

Have a great season. Sounds like it wasn't a bad start considering all the boats making conditions tuff.  t^
