out of Sayreville this morning around 6:30 with John and my long time regular fishing partner Capt Dave.Dave has had some health issues and hasn't been able to get out, this is his first trip of the year.headed straight towards the hook and hit our favorite spot the last few trips.went on anchor and started clamming with the clams left from tuesdays trip, even though I kept them iced and dry, some of them were getting nasty,Dave has some hook ups right away, letting Dave take most of the hits as being he hasn't been out, first fish in the box just over 30 inches, continued getting fish thru the top of the tide and the slack, with Dave putting a 35 incher at 16 lbs in the box.we all caught keeper Bass, putting 5 in the box and John also getting a 35 incher at 16 lbs just before leaving, plan was to get out of there by noon with possible storms threatening by the forcast.left out of there a little after noon when we ran out of clams, was going to do a little trolling on the way back, but hit a bit of a dusty road on the way in,so got to all the way back bay before trying the troll for awhile with no takers, almost 1:30 headed for home.great to get out and to get Dave out and get him some fish.
