Fish Monger Thur 5/27 Striper Report

Headed out for a day of striper fishing. Dom, Mark , Eric Mortgage Man and His daughter Lauren, Andrew and David rounded out todays crew.

Headed out looking for some bait... didnt see much until we got up north and even then it was very scattered and very tough to get. Worked hard to make bait and the crew was awesome in helping!!! making the most of getting bunker when we got on them. Took a Bit but made 25-30 pieces and we were off to fishing.

Got to the east of everyone and had great readings... Set up and we had 2 fish and a couple of Runoffs that we missed... Did another drift we got 1 and a couple misses. Next drift nada.

Moved a Little and read some crazy good bass reading stopped the boat and we had a Few Blowups on the bunker right away and boxed a 3 more fish.

Had to search around for reading but when you found the you would get a couple bites a Drift. Was also able to replenish the bunker as we drifted through occasional patches of bunker

Action slowed up but we still picked a fish here and there and missed a couple of bites along the way... Ended the day with a shot of 2 on landing both before calling it a day.

The guys did greatjob battling the brisk wind and bouncy seas.

Def tougher today... the hardest we had to work this year but we stuck with it and the guys fished hard and we put a nice catch together. Not the banner fishing we have been seeing but a good day nonetheless.

By days end the Crew had over 20 bites and landed 11 Stripers up to 32 lbs.

 What a day out there! Between the fishing and the roller coaster ocean. Jerry and Wayne 2 awesome guys would love to go on theyre boat again. Like they said, man bunker was hard to come across in the morning, but while lining for bass bunker would pop up all around us. It went from hot and humid at 530 am, to about feeliing like early spring around 9 then back to hot and humid.  Had a small pool going, had 3 fish that were in contention! I think i won it by 5 ounches .... 31.9 oz, then one was 31.4, then had another at like 30.8 or something. Had some nice fat fish on that boat. Everyone caught fish! First time I ever saw stripers actually attacking OUR bunker at the top of the water, sometimes 40 seconds after throwing our lines out.
