2 Cycle Oil
« on: May 26, 2010, 07:06:16 PM »
My local marine dealer is selling Evenirude XD30 for $36 a gallon. I found this guy on line selling a case of 24 pints for #36 bucks.  I bought 2 case - with shipping it comes out to $16.66 a gallon.  Don't care if it's pint bottles. They pour just as nice in my oil tank as the gallon jug does. If someone has a better deal please share ~ Phil

I used to buy 2-cycle oil at the big box marts. K or Wal. $7-8 and ran my Yami for 13 years without an issue. Just read the label and see if is the proper rating for your engine.

Yeah Warren, I haven't priced it lately since I now run a 4-stroke. Probably up near $10 or more for the store name stuff. As long as it meets the SAE(?) specs required by your motor it is ok to use. People say you have to us Yamalube in a Yamaha, etc. Heck, I have never seen an oil storage tank on the side the highway that had Yamaha/Yamalube on the side of it.  ;D
