Had Mark Ondik back again for their yearly Seabass Charter. Mark Jr, Bruce, Chad, Michael, and Mark V rounded out todays Crew.
On the way to the seabass grounds we made a quick stop on the acres bunkers and put a few in the well... Didnt see much going but we fed a few out anyway for a couple of drifts. Bruce had a runoff which turned out to be a nice 35lber. Made another drift no takers so cont on to the bottom grounds.
Got set up and we had lock n load action. Almost all Keepers and they were nice big ones. Ya didnt have to measure many of them. Seems the quality inshore just keeps getting better and better!!! Picked 40 Keepers before we even dropped the anchor. Anchored on it for 30 More.
Off to our next piece and Picked way at some more nice keepers along with a Few Jumbo ling and blackfish that we released.
Power drifted 2 more small piles with great action and the guys capped of their quality limits off seabass!!!
By days end the guys Boxed up 150 Nice Seabass(a 6 man limit) up to 3 3/4
lbs. Along with a few Big ling and 1 Keeper cod. 1 striper @ 35lbs and released some nice blackfish and Short Cod.
Today was by far our Best limit catch size wise almost all the seabass being well over the keeper size. Had to use the Bigger Cooler!!!
Great day on the water with a Great Crew and awesome fishing!!! The Guys already planned their fall seabass and Blackfish Charters.
