« on: June 07, 2010, 03:01:42 PM »
out of KEYPORT at dawn CAPT DON and DON,strictly a fluke day, headed for K BERG NETS,dirty water, like coffey.made a few drifts with killies and squid picked up a few postage stamps, moved to bouy 1,nothing there, headed for a better drift on the S I side.Drifted the green cans at MT LORRETA,had a good drift, picked away at some small fluke.Large pods of bunker swimming by,snaged a few and tried drifting live bunks,no takers the bunkers were happy just drifting along with no blues or bass chasing them.worked are way up the REACH CHANEL still catching short fluke. Not a keeper to be had.Headed back to BOUY 1 tried a last drift for a keeper, caught two 17",not good. rgmn called it a GREAT DAY ON THE BAY,headed back to the slip.WATER STILL DIRTY,will try again later in the week.TIGHT LINES
