Where is the Fisherman's Buoy?
« on: June 08, 2010, 11:23:46 PM »
I fish the Raritan Bay and Sandy Hook area for Fluke, Stripers, Black Sea Bass, etc.  I have hear a few people mention they catch a lot of fluke by the Fisherman's Buoy but I have not been able to find out where this is.  Can anyone help me out with this?  Any other good spots to go for the big flatties so far this year?  Thanks for the help.  grtn

There haven't been many good bay reports, from what I've seen.  A good freind hasn't produced much.  I think he's been fishing the swash channel,  and the reach.  Not much action!

That is what I have heard as well.  I sure hope it get's better by this weekend.  May try more deep water this weekend instead of the shallows.

I'm not familiar with that area.  But, perhaps another member has the coordinates for that spot. t^

Never heard of it before, but if I had to guess I would say maybe the 11a on the raritan reach?

I believe that was the FG buoy? Now gone, but GPS coordinates should still be on older charts.
